The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

iloubnan- Abu Faour, Pietton sign protocol of 400 000 Euros in support of Lebanese civil society, December 13, 2011

The Ambassador of France Denis Pietton and Social Affairs Minister Wael Abu Faour on Tuesday signed a memorandum in support of the Lebanese civil society for the years 2012 and 2013. 

According to the protocol, "the French Social Development Fund" will provide the project "support the people of southern Lebanon" a sum of 400,000 Euros to support the efforts of the Lebanese civil society, in favor of  weak people, including children, women and those with special needs. 

Projects funded by the "French Social Development Fund" reflects the commitment of France to the development and the stability of southern Lebanon.
