NOW Lebanon- Fadlallah slams “decrease” of convicts’ sentences, December 12, 2011

Hezbollah MP Hassan Fadlallah on Monday said that no one, whether a judge or a politician, has the right to decrease the sentence of those convicted of spying or attempt to release them.
Four people from the Al-Alam family were sentenced to prison for 10 to 15 years on charges of collaborating with Israel. They were released on bail last week after having been detained for almost three years.
“Collaborators commit treason against their country [as] they threaten the society’s security,” the MP told New TV, adding that the decision to release convicts “encourages” spying for Israel.
