Now Lebanon - Syrian rebels broadcast alleged detention of Hariri-killing false witness, July 22 2012

LBC television broadcast on Sunday a YouTube video purportedly showing Syrian rebels detaining Hussam Hussam, one of the false witnesses in the case of the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
The video showed Hussam saying that he had information regarding the 2005 Hariri assassination, adding that he wants to be taken to Beirut where he would reveal a “big surprise.”
One of the rebels in the video addressed former PM Saad Hariri—Rafik’s son—saying that Hussam would be sent to Beirut “as a gift.”
Hussam, an alleged Syrian intelligence officer, had provided testimony in 2005 to the United Nations International Independent Investigation Commission blaming senior Syrian and Lebanese officials for the assassination.
However, Hussam later recanted his testimony in a Damascus press conference in 2005, saying that March 14 had forced him into his statements.
Hariri was assassinated in a road-side explosion that targeted his convoy in Downtown Beirut.
The UN-backed Special Tribunal for Lebanon, which is probing the Hariri assassination, indicted four Hezbollah members in the killing. However, Hezbollah strongly denied the charges and refuses to cooperate with the court.
