The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - Army arrests three robbers who impersonated police, July 19 2012

BEIRUT: Army Intelligence personnel arrested three men for allegedly robbing people while impersonating police officers, the National News Agency reported Wednesday. According to the NNA, the Army arrested three foreign men on suspicion of theft and fraud and for allegedly impersonating police officers while accosting an Iraqi man and robbing him. The Army also caught in the suspects’ possession large amounts of stolen foreign currency and a number of mobile phones with international SIM cards. According to the Army, the suspects confessed and said that they had come to Lebanon to commit crimes.
