The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - Women receives jail term over Israel citizenship, July 26 2012

BEIRUT: The Military Tribunal sentenced a woman Thursday in absentia to 10 years of hard labor for acquiring Israeli citizenship, judicial sources told The Daily Star. Joumana Hasbani was convicted of the crime, considered a type of contact with the state of Israel, and was stripped of her civil rights as well.
