The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - Bolivian woman arrested at Beirut airport for smuggling cocaine, July 24 2012


BEIRUT: A Bolivian woman was arrested Tuesday at the Rafik Hariri International Airport for attempting to smuggle cocaine into the country, security sources said.
The woman hid 2,750 grams of cocaine at the bottom of a double-padded suitcase. She had flown in from Bolivia and was arrested by the Customs Department and the Internal Security Forces' anti-drug bureau.
The sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, also said that the security forces arrested four other Bolivian women for carrying 1,000 grams of cocaine Sunday.
The five women are being interrogated for information on their supplier.
