April 18, 2010 - Now Lebanon - Hassan says STL funding won’t be lessened

Finance Minister Rayya al-Hassan said in an interview with LBCI television on Sunday that Lebanese funding for the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) would not be lessened because it is financed by a special program that does not affect the state’s budget.

The 2010 state budget will succeed depending on the regional political and security situation, she said, adding that the analysis of the budget will be finished within 10-days.

“There should be no obstruction to the budget since it took into consideration all the political parties’ opinion as well as the priorities of the ministerial statement,” Hassan added.
