The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Suspect in Ketermaya murder arrested - April 29, 2010

The Voice of Lebanon radio station reported on Thursday that the Internal Security Forces (ISF) arrested a suspect in the Wednesday murder that took place in the Chouf village of Ketermaya. A knife and clothes with blood on them were found in the suspect’s residence, said the radio station. However, no further details pertaining to the arrest were disclosed.

The VOL also said that a forensics team is to carry out tests to compare the victims’ DNA with the blood found on the retrieved items.

This comes after the National News Agency (NNA) reported on Wednesday that Youssef Abu Merhe, his wife, Kawthar, and their nine and seven-year old granddaughters were found dead in their home in the village.
