The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

April 6, 2010 - Now Lebanon - STL denies reports of Bellemare’s resignation

Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) spokesperson Radhia Achouri told LBCI television that the French-language Lebanese newspaper L'Orient le Jour's Tuesday report that STL Prosecutor Daniel Bellemare intends to resign is unfounded.

However, according to An-Nahar newspaper on Tuesday, Bellemare informed UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon that he intends to quit should the STL investigations be politicized.
