The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

April 7, 2010 - Now Lebanon - Saqr charges detainees in Ouyoun Orgosh incident

Government Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr indicted Joseph Tawq and Habib Tawq for shooting into the air with unlicensed weapons in the village of Ouyoun Orgosh in the Bekaa, causing the injury of one Lebanese national.

This comes after Lebanese authorities on Saturday found drugs and weapons in Ouyoun Orgosh.

Saqr also indicted the detainees for possessing unlicensed light and medium weapons as well as hand grenades and ammunition.

The judge transferred the case to Military Investigative Judge Riad Abu Ghida and transferred the case of the confiscated drugs to the Drug Control Office for investigation.
