April 8, 2010 - Now Lebanon - Wahhab: Syria knows STL is politicized

Tawhid Movement leader Wiam Wahhab told OTV on Thursday that Syria has always known that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) is politicized. He added that Hezbollah is not worried about being held responsible in the murder case of ex-Premier Rafik Hariri, “because the party is not involved in the matter.”Wahhab denied earlier reports that Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s April visit to Damascus will be postponed and said, “There is no dispute between Hariri and the Syrian leadership.”He touched on the relationship between the Lebanese Forces and Damascus, saying Syria does not take into account the LF’s positions. However, this does not mean that the LF’s allies are Syria’s foes, he said.Wahhab also slammed the 2010 national dialogue committee, saying it is ineffective and will not yield any results.
