The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Arab Law conference on STL begins in The Hague, February 1, 2011



he Peace Palace in The Hague hosted the Arab Law Conference for studying the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), the National News Agency (NNA) reported on Tuesday.
The conference will last for three days, the NNA also reported.
The report added that the conference will focus on the legal dimensions of the tribunal.
The STL is an international tribunal probing the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
