The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Interior Ministry calls for prison reforms - April 3, 2011

The Interior Ministry on Sunday issued a statement that the underlying causes of the prison riot at Roumieh Prison need to be resolved, adding that the issue of prison conditions is reaching a critical point.
The statement called for judicial reforms and the building of new prisons while enhancing the situation of existing ones.
An investigation into security officers allegedly responsible for the riot has been launched, the ministry also said.
A riot broke out in Roumieh Prison on Saturday when prisoners began protesting cell searches. The disobedience ended on Sunday after successful negotiations with the prisoners.
