The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Al-Hayat: Hariri-Hezbollah direct contact to resume - September 24, 2010

Al-Hayat newspaper reported on Friday direct contact between Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Hezbollah officials will likely resume through Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s political aide, Hussein Khalil.

Tension ran high in Lebanon after reports said that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) will soon issue its indictment in the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. The Hezbollah chief said in July that the tribunal is an Israeli project that will indict party members.
