The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon -Soueid: Mikati’s mission is to abolish the STL, February 2, 2011


March 14 General Secretariat coordinator Fares Soueid said on Tuesday evening that Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati has been given a mission to abolish the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), adding that “Mikati should not have accepted it.”“Outgoing PM Saad Hariri and the March 14 [coalition] have taken enough blackmail [from March 8],” Soueid told Future News TV.“March 14’s battle is to remove any non-state arms from Lebanon,” Soueid added.
