The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - STL announces start of media forum - November 2, 2010









The Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) issued a statement Tuesday announcing that the second annual forum for reporting on international justice will begin Wednesday in The Hague.“The STL and the Foreign Press Association in the Netherlands (BPV) will provide participants with an opportunity to explore various aspects of international justice and the challenges facing media reporting on it,” it added.The forum—which will last for three days—will gather Lebanese and international journalists to hear presentations from experts on the workings of the STL and other international courts, the statement also said. “This media forum follows a successful event of similar format held on 20-22 October, which gathered senior editors of a number of Lebanese media and their international colleagues in The Hague.”
