The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Two people kidnapped in Beirut, Tebnin - January 5, 2011

The National News Agency (NNA) reported on Wednesday that unidentified armed individuals kidnapped a female minor in the Beirut neighborhood of Ain al-Mreisseh.
The report added that the girl was with her mother when the perpetrators threatened them with weapons.
The NNA also reported that a man in his 60’s was kidnapped from his house after two armed brothers identified as A.K. and B.K. broke into his house in Tebnin and threatened him and his wife with weapons
The Internal Security Forces’ investigation showed there is a financial dispute between A.K. and B.K. and the son of the kidnapped.
The relevant authorities are tracking the kidnappers down, the NNA reported.
