The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - Volunteers help reforest fire-damaged Jbeil area - March 10, 2011

BEIRUT: The Association for Forest Development and Conservation (AFDC) has organized a reforestation campaign in the fire-damaged area surrounding Mar Abda monastery in the town of Maad, Jbeil. The campaign, which was organized in collaboration with La Phénicienne Compagnie d’Assurances SAL, was part of a national campaign by AFDC to safeguard and restore the country’s forested areas. Volunteers planted pine trees in the area. –The Daily Star
