Now Lebanon - Berri supports youth groups against confessionalism, reports An-Nahar - March 06, 2011

Youth groups calling to end confessionalism are Lebanon’s true Future, An-Nahar newspaper quoted on Sunday Speaker Nabih Berri as saying.
“[I support] these groups. It is not unlikely that I would join them in one of their activities,” the daily quoted Berri as saying.
Berri has voiced the importance that these youth groups are not prevented from carrying out their attempts to end sectarianism between the Lebanese, the daily said, adding that the speaker welcomes meeting them and consulting with them to share ideas.
The daily added that when an Amal official asked Berri about today’s demonstration, Berri responded by telling him to invite Amal students to participate without revealing their political affiliation and carrying Lebanese flags like everyone else.
Hundreds of people marched in Beirut last Sunday demanding an end to Lebanon's confessional system, mobilized by a call posted on Facebook.
