The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - NGOs for the disabled urge Mikati, Sleiman to act, May 12 2012


BEIRUT: President Michel Sleiman and Prime Minister Najib Mikati were urged to resolve a funding crisis for the country’s non-governmental groups that care for the disabled.
NGO employees and the families of the disabled gathered in Jounieh, Kesrouan, where Farida Mir, from the NGO Sesobel, urged Sleiman to take action to resolve the funding crisis, which threatens 56 institutions with closure.
