The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Naharnet - Aoun Warns: No Dialogue if Cabinet Session on False Witnesses Fails - November 1, 2010


Free Patriotic Movement leader Michel Aoun warned that "all possibilities are open" after a Cabinet meeting Wednesday if Government failed to agree on the false witnesses' issue.

    "If Cabinet fails, there will be no dialogue on Thursday," Aoun told OTV."The crisis is highly problematic and unless they remove the causes of discord they'd better not (engage) in talks," he added. "Procrastination on the false witnesses' issue is not acceptable," Aoun warned. "If the other (political) camp did not refer the false witnesses' issue to the Judicial Council this means they are involved in the false witnesses' issue.
