The Daily Star - Fourteen Islamist detainees to be released, June 19 2012

BEIRUT: Fourteen Islamist detainees will be released Tuesday, breaking nearly five years of stagnation in the case of around 180 inmates arrested by Lebanese authorities, most without trial.
“[General Prosecutor] Judge Said Mirza has decided to release 14 detainees related to the case of Fatah al-Islam,” said lawyer Mohammad Sablouh, from the committee comprising the inmates’ defense attorneys.
The 14 will be released on bail, with each having to pay LL500,000. Sablouh said the committee would keep making efforts to release the remaining inmates.
