The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Abdullah: UN to blame STL investigators - November 1, 2010









Youth and Sports Minister Ali Abdullah—who is also a member of the Amal Movement—said on Monday that the UN Security Council will blame the investigators of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) for visiting Beirut’s southern suburb of Dahiyeh last week.“[The UN] will apologize to the Lebanese [for the investigators’ visit],” he told MTV.Abdullah also said that the attack against the investigators in Dahiyeh came “only as a reaction.”Two of the STL investigators were attacked by a group of around 30 women at the clinic on Wednesday.The investigators had scheduled a meeting with Dr. Iman Charara, the physician who runs the clinic.
