The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Hospitals under scrutiny over pregnant woman incident, June 07, 2014

Health Minister Wael Abou Faour requested that all the Akkar hospitals who refused to admit a woman pregnant with twins undergo an investigation over the incident.



The minister made a series of phone calls and had the woman, identified as Ola Mohammad al-Ali, admitted into the Dar Al-Shifa’ Hospital in Zgharta, the Health Ministry’s media office said on Saturday.
