The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Judge requests execution of 31 fugitive Palestinians, June 13, 2014



Military Investigative Judge Fadi Sawan requested the death penalty for 31 fugitive Palestinians for belonging to the terrorist groups the Abdallah Azzam Brigades and Al-Qaeda.



The Palestinians are also charged with murder, attempted murder, and theft at gunpoint during the clashes that rocked Sidon on April 7.



Eight people were killed and twelve others injured in April in an armed clash in Sidon’s Miyeh Miyeh Palestinian refugee camp between Hezbollah affiliates and the newly formed Return Brigades.
