Lebanese actress Cyrine Abdel Nour appeared in a video sponsored by the U.N. refugee organization, appealing for the world to help Lebanon with the overwhelming number of Syrian refugees.
“I have a story to tell you. The story of a small country hosting more than one million refugees. It is a story of pain, fear and loss,” Abdel Nour, dressed in a white blazer, said in the video.
“But it's also filled with great courage, generosity and hospitality.”
“To help Lebanon and all the families who were torn away from home because of war, help us tell this story.”
The video showed footage of some Syrian refugee children working, others playing, along with some women baking bread, in an attempt to visualize the both suffering and endurance of the refugees and their host communities.
