The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

April 21, 2010 - Now Lebanon - Judge pushes for death penalty

Military Investigative Judge Fadi Sawwan issued an indictment on Wednesday requesting the death sentence for three individuals charged with plotting terrorist activities and monitoring UNIFIL personnel, the National News Agency (NNA) said.

It added that the suspects included one Syrian national and two Palestinians residing in the Rashdiyeh Palestinian refugee camp in South Lebanon.
