The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

NOW Lebanon -Mikati to establish judicial commission to study STL’s indictment, says source, January 31, 2011



n unnamed source to close to Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati said that after the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) issues its indictment, Mikati will establish a judicial commission to study it, Ad-Diyar newspaper reported on Monday.
A position will be taken following the judicial commission’s decision on whether the international investigation into the 2005 assassination of former PM Rafik Hariri is politicized or not, added the source.
