The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Detainee charged with Israeli espionage

On Monday, the National News Agency (NNA) reported that the Government Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr charged Lebanese national Mahdi Ali al-Mustarah with collaborating with Israel, including providing Israeli intelligence with information on Hezbollah as well as entering enemy territory. The charges are based on Articles 274, 275, 278, and 285 of the penal code that carry the death penalty, said the NNA.
