Now Lebanon - As-Safir: Bellemare to postpone STL indictment until 2011 - October 19, 2010

As-Safir newspaper reported on Tuesday that Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) Prosecutor General Daniel Bellemare will likely postpone issuing the court’s indictment for the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri until the beginning of 2011.
However, the daily did not elaborate further.
Tension is high in Lebanon after reports said that the STL will issue its indictment by the end of 2010, while March 8 figures are calling for the abolition of the tribunal.
There are fears that should the court indict Hezbollah members, it could lead to clashes similar to those of the 2008 May Events.
