The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - As-Sharq al-Awsat: Berri did not ask French officials “to put limit” to STL - October 27, 2010









As-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper reported on Wednesday that Speaker Nabih Berri did not ask French officials “to put a limit to the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL)” during his official visit to the country this week.
However, the daily did not elaborate further.
Berri arrived in Paris on Monday evening for an official state visit. He met with French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner on Tuesday and is expected to meet with French President Nicolas Sarkozy on Wednesday.
