Now Lebanon - Sayyed used abusive language toward Salibi during interview, New TV says - October 18, 2010Gemayel: Wait for STL’s indictment before dealing with false witnesses - October 18, 2010

New TV on Monday announced that former General Security chief Jamil as-Sayyed used repugnant language against the station’s interviewer on Sunday and almost kicked the station’s camera crew out of his house.
When New TV interviewer George Salibi posed a question to former General Security chief Jamil as-Sayyed about the latter’s bank accounts and property during a Sunday interview, Sayyed grew angry and, off the air, used “repugnant expressions against Salibi that the station hesitates to reveal due to their foulness,” New TV said on Monday.
The report said that Sayyed also insisted that an interview recorded with Lebanon First bloc MP Okab Sakr be removed from the program. According to the station, Sayyed said he “would not reply to [Sakr], but only to his premier,” a reference to Prime Minister Saad Hariri.
While on air during the Sunday interview, Salibi apologized to viewers for not broadcasting the schedule report due to Sayyed’s reservations.
New TV reminded Sayyed that the station “opened its doors to him and carried his case continually since his exit from prison, and in return, he did not respect the principles of hospitality after insisting that the show be broadcast from his house for security reasons.”
Sayyed “almost kicked the team out of his house,” the station said, adding that “this was the first interview with Sayyed [on New TV], and it will be the last.”
