The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - Death penalty recommended for terror suspects in Lebanon, September 22, 2014



The military investigative judge has recommended the death penalty for four suspects accused of belonging to terrorist organizations and planning to carry out terrorist attacks.

Judge Fadi Sawwan issued the indictment against the suspects Monday, who include Lebanese and Palestinian nationals charged with possessing arms and explosives intended for use in terrorist activities in the Palestinian refugee camp of Ain al-Hilweh, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.

Sawwan issued arrest warrants for the four and referred them to the military tribunal.
