iloubnan- The cabinet is doomed, says Zahra, November 30, 2011

MP Antoine Zahra told Voice of Lebanon radio station on Wednesday that the cabinet is doomed and is witnessing an attempt to collect itself.

He added that disputes among cabinet's parties are not only due to STL funding, adding that it was expected today to be its last day, but the Syrian regime has no interest in seeing the government collapsing because this cabinet will defend Damascus' interest.

Zahra said that the cabinet placed itself in a predicament and is now searching for exits but these exits will not have any positive impact on Lebanon's interests, "but the only positiveness which they are seeking is a temporary attachment to the cabinet's composition".

"STL funding is an obligatory duty for the Lebanese cabinet", the MP stressed.

Commenting on the security situation in the south after the launching of rockets on Tuesday from Lebanon to Israeli territories, Zahra said that the perpetrator aimed to inflame the region, pointing out that Israel noticed for the first time that Hezbollah was not behind this incident.
