The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

NOW Lebanon- Lebanese army arrests six people in the vicinity of Khoury Hospital , November 29, 2011

A Lebanese army intelligence unit arrested on Tuesday six people in the vicinity of Zahle’s Khoury Hospital in the Bekaa Valley, NOW Lebanon’s corresponded reported.
According to the correspondent, the six people arrived at Khoury Hospital in a car with tinted windows and some of them were carrying guns. People in the area contacted the army, which arrived immediately and apprehended the suspects.
Two of the people in custody had arrest warrants issued on their names, the report added.
Investigations into the case are ongoing.
