iloubnan- Wahab: proportionality is best election law, November 20, 2011

Former Minister Wiam Wahab said the law of proportionality would remain the best for parliamentary elections, as it would be a solution suiting all the Lebanese.

Wahab's stance came Tuesday after visiting head of the Islamic Shiite Supreme Council, Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan. Talks during the visit reportedly focused on overall developments at the local and regional scenes.

Wahab criticized the election law project of the Orthodox Gathering as, according to Wahab, it would pave the way for new wars in Lebanon and favor the sense of sectarianism.
