The Daily Star - Charbel says kidnapped Kuwaiti man to be released, August 27 2012

BEIRUT: Interior Minister Marwan Charbel said the kidnapped Kuwaiti man who was snatched in east Lebanon Saturday, is expected to be released Monday.
Speaking to MTV station, Charbel said Issam al-Houty "will be released today."
Houty was kidnapped by gunmen in Hawsh al-Ghanam in the eastern Bekaa region outside his house. Reports said his wife informed the Kuwaiti Embassy of the abduction.
Charbel has said that Houty's abduction was not politically motivated while Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri called Sunday for his immediate release.
Media reports indicated earlier Monday that Houty would be released but Kuwait’s ambassador to Lebanon, Abdel-Aal al-Qinai denied the reports.
