The Daily Star- Oklahoma man shoots dead 'filthy Lebanese' neighbor, August 16 , 2016

BEIRUT: An Oklahoma man has shot dead his Lebanese next-door neighbor, weeks after being released on bail from prison for running over the victim's mother, U.S. media reported.
Police say the shooter, 61-year-old Stanley Vernon Majors, had a long-time fixation with his Tulsa neighbors, the Jabara family.
Last Friday, Majors shot dead 37-year-old Khalid Jabara on the victim's porch.
In a report published Tuesday, The Washington Post cited police as saying Jabara was at home speaking on the phone with a member of his family when he stepped outside.
There, he found Majors with a gun he used to kill him.
“This certainly is a tragedy ... but this is not a whodunit,” Tulsa Police Sgt. Dave Walker told the Post.
Jabara had reportedly called police minutes before his murder to notify them that Majors was armed.
The victim's sister, Victoria, wrote on Facebook that police came by the house and told Khalid that "they could do nothing."
Majors has been arrested and will be charged with murder once he is discharged from hospital, the Post cited a police statement as saying.
Last year, Majors mowed down the victim's mother, Haifa, with his car while she was out jogging. He was quickly apprehended and confessed to that crime, but released on bail on May 25.
In a police report after that arrest, one officer wrote that when he pressed Majors over why he ran over Haifa, he remarked that "Mrs. Jabara and her family were filthy Lebanese and they throw gay people off roof tops."
The Jabara family has expressed outrage that he was granted bail.
“He (Majors) repeatedly attacked our ethnicity and perceived religion, making racist comments,” Victoria Jabara wrote on Facebook. “He often called us ‘dirty Arabs,’ ‘filthy Lebanese,’ ‘Aye-rabs,’ and ‘Mooslems.’ ”
The Jabara family is Christian.
