The Daily Star-Prisoners cause unrest after two inmates moved to different detention facility, October 18 , 2016

BEIRUT: A prison in north Lebanon’s Akkar region witnessed some unrest Saturday by two inmates, after they were informed that they were to be moved to a different detention facility, the state-run National News Agency reported.
Abdallah H.Aa. and Ahmad M.Aa., who are being kept at the Halba prison, threatened to cut themselves if the decision for a “disciplinary transfer” to the Qibbeh prison in the northern city of Tripoli was carried out.
The prison witnessed about three hours of pandemonium as other inmates showed support for Abdallah and Ahmad, prompting an elite police force to intervene to help contain the chaos.
After deliberations with the prisoners' families, both the inmates were eventually transported to the Qibbeh prison as previously decided.
