Now Lebanon - Tawhid Party: STL’s indictment is an ‘attempt to punish Resistance’ - June 30, 2011

Tawhid Arab Party said in a statement issued on Thursday that the release of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon’s indictment is a “foreign, miserable” attempt to punish the Resistance which succeeded “in confronting Israeli attacks.”
The indictment was submitted to Lebanon while the region is undergoing a series of developments that threaten us with sectarian clashes every day, the party added.
It also called on the cabinet to deal with national responsibility regarding the indictment, which is considered a “crime” against the Lebanese people’s security and stability.
Earlier on Thursday, the STL submitted a sealed indictment and arrest warrants to Lebanon’s Prosecutor General Said Mirza, AFP reported.
A judicial official told AFP that four Lebanese suspects are named in the indictment of the STL which is investigating the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
Local media said at least two of them were members of the Iranian and Syrian-backed Hezbollah, which has warned it would defend itself if accused.
