The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

BEIRUT: Three men assaulted a newly wed couple in Zahle this weekend, assaulting the groom and kidnapping the bride for several hours.The NNA said three men in a Mercedes assaulted the newlyweds at around 3 a.m. Sunday as the couple were heading to Monte Alberto Hotel in Dhour Zahle in their Kia.The men struck the groom on the head, took his car keys and mobile phone, and kidnapped the bride briefly.They returned the bride to ManaraSquare in Zahle a few hours later. The groom was hospitalized.
