The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

BEIRUT: The Directorate General of General Security arrested a gang of seven foreign nationals who were smuggling people from their countries to European states, said a statement from the General Security.“The Directorate General of General Security carried out investigations that led to the arrest of seven people of foreign nationalities, who formed a gang for smuggling people from their countries to European states,” said the succinct statement.According to the General Security, the arrested gang worked with several accomplices in neighboring countries and used counterfeit passports. The seven arrested people and their possessions were transferred to the relevant judicial authority, the statement added.
