Naharnet - Berri Says There is Enough Time to Decide on STL Funding, September 26, 2011

Speaker Nabih Berri has said that authorities would take the appropriate action when the time to pay Lebanon’s share of funds to the Special Tribunal for Lebanon comes.Berri’s visitors told al-Joumhouria daily published Monday that the deadline for Lebanon’s payment of its share is not at the end of September as some expected.
“When we reach that phase” we’ll decide what action to take, he reportedly said. “There is enough time before that date comes.”On Sunday, Premier Najib Miqati said the payment has yet to be discussed by the cabinet.
There are fears that Hizbullah and its allies will attempt to block a decision to fund the STL. The tribunal has indicted four Hizbullah members in the case of ex-Premier Rafik Hariri’s Feb. 2005 assassination. Their whereabouts are unknown.
