An unnamed Lebanese judiciary source told Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Anbaa that three Lebanese nationals and a Syrian national are behind the kidnapping of seven Estonians in Bekaa last month.
The source said that the group responsible for the kidnapping is linked to Darweesh Khanjar who was killed during a pursuit in Majdel Aanjar on Sunday.
Two members from Khanjar’s gang were with him on Sunday, but they were able to escape after he was killed, the source added.
Seven Estonian citizens were kidnapped near the Bekaa city of Zahle on March 23 after they had entered Lebanon from Syria on their bikes.
