The Daily Star - STL prosecutor and Mikati discuss court, July 26 2012

BEIRUT: Special Tribunal for Lebanon Prosecutor Norman Farrell met Wednesday morning with Prime Minister Najib Mikati to discuss the activities of the court, a source close to the premier said. “They discussed the tribunal’s functions ... they [STL officials] have no specific demands; they consider there is cooperation [on Lebanon’s side],” he said, describing Farrell’s visit to Beirut as routine. Farrell, who arrived in Lebanon late Tuesday evening, was sworn in as STL prosecutor in March, replacing Daniel Bellemare. Recent documents released by the STL indicate that Farrell intends to amend the indictment of four Hezbollah members in the 2005 attack that killed former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
