The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

NNA - Lebanon Charges against 41 detainees in Roumieh prison, 04 May, 2015

Government Commissioner to the military court, Judge Sakr Sakr pressed charges against 41 detainees in Roumieh prison, among them three who incited to riot inside the prison building.


The 41 detainees were referred to the first military judge Riad Abou Ghaida.


On a different note, Judge Sakr was handed the dossier of arrestee Sheikh Khaled Hoblos and six others and referred them to the concerned judicial authorities, pursuant to the arrest warrants issued against them.
