The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star- Ethiopian domestic worker commits suicide, November 19 , 2016

BEIRUT: A domestic worker hung herself in the Iqlim al-Kharroub town of Al-Burjain Friday in an apparent suicide, the state-run National News Agency reported. The Ethiopian worker, born in 1992, was found dead at the house of her employer F.K. Security forces arrived at the scene and opened an investigation. A coroner examined the body and declared the death a suicide. The incident comes after another migrant domestic worker died Monday at her employer’s home.
