NowLebanon - Protesters at Lebanon’s Masnaa call for releasing detained cleric, October 3 2012

Supporters of the Muslims Without Borders group protested on Tuesday along the side of the international highway at Masnaa and called for releasing cleric Hassan al-Ali, NOW Lebanon’s correspondent reported.
Ali, who hails from the Beqaa town of Kamed al-Lawz, was reportedly detained last week by Lebanese army intelligence.
The correspondent also said that the army diverted the traffic toward Rashaya, adding that a dispute erupted between some of the protesters and army soldiers.
He added that security forces were working to resolve the situation and restore calm.
