The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Hariri Tribunal, INTERPOL Conclude 'More Comprehensive' Cooperation Agreement
The Special Tribunal for Lebanon and INTERPOL have concluded a "more comprehensive" Cooperation Agreement replacing the earlier Interim Agreement.
A statement released Thursday by the international tribunal said the deal was singed by STL President Antonio Cassese and INTERPOL Secretary-General Ronald Noble.

It said the agreement went into force Dec. 17, 1009.

The statement said the purpose of this agreement is to "establish a framework for cooperation between the STL and INTERPOL for investigations and proceedings in relation to the crimes within the jurisdiction of STL."

The Agreement also gives the STL access to INTERPOL's databases and information systems.

It said this agreement is a "more comprehensive" Cooperation Agreement replacing the Interim Agreement which entered into force Aug. 24, 2009.
