The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - Father accidently kills 14-year-old son in Tyre - July 22, 2011

BEIRUT: A 14-year-old boy was killed in Tyre Thursday when he was accidently run over by a crane driven by his father, according to the National News Agency.
Syrian national, Hussein Saadoun, 14, was killed after his father, Hasan, accidentally struck the boy with a crane in the southern coastal city of Tyre Wednesday.
Police are investigating the accident. The boy was buried the same day in the village of Maashouq in Tyre in the presence of residents and public figures of the village and its neighboring areas.
Elsewhere, on the Baalbek-Homs international highway, a child was killed in a hit-and-run accident, a security source told The Daily Star. According to the source, Jerjes Matar, driving a Mercedes, struck a Syrian child and killed him instantly. Matar fled the scene.
